How to manage Hikvision and Dahua video devices on video management platform SVMSPro via WAN and LAN?

First of all, SVMSPro platform supports standard protocols: ONVIF, RTSP, RTMP, HTTP-FLV,WS-FLV, GB/T28181, which makes SVMSPro easily access to Hikvision and Dahua front-end video devices, such as IP cameras, NVR, CVR etc via LAN, VPN and manage them all in one platform. Second SVMSPro has also already integrated Hikvision and Dahua video devices’ SDK, which make SVMSPro conveniently manage Hikvision and Dahua video devices and receive the alarm information from them. What’s more, SVMSPro also supports their private protocols: Hikvision Ehome/ISUP protocol and Dahua register protocol, which makes SVMSPro to manage Hikvison and Dahua video devices via WAN, LAN, VPN, 4G/5G digital network easily.

How to add the devices in SVMSPro in LAN, VPN?

There are three ways:

1) Adding Device Manually

Procedure

Step 1: Login to the SVMS Pro Client. On the Control Panel page, click Device Management.

Step 2: On Device Configuration interface, right click one added area under Device List, then select "Add Device".

Step 3: Input device name, IP address, port, user name, passwords and select device category, then click Confirm to exit.

Note: If using ONVIF protocol, default port is 80. If front-end camera has change the port, please input the port accordingly.

2) Adding Devices By Searching for Online Devices

Search for devices on the same network with the platform before you can add them to the platform.

Procedure

Step 1: Login to the SVMS Pro Client. On the Control Panel page, click Device Management to enter device management interface.

Step 2: Click Search. Then the devices on the same network will be searched and displayed in the form.

Step 3: Select one area. Then select the cameras you want to be added under this area, click Add to add the cameras.

3) Adding Device By Importing Device File

Procedure

Step 1: Find “Import_Devices.xlsx” file under your SVMS Pro Client installation route. If you install SVMS Pro client program in C disk, you can find this file under the route: C:\SVMSPro_Client.

Step 2: Input the device information: device type, plugin ID, device name, IP address, port, username and password in this file.

Step 3: Login to the SVMS Pro Client. On the Control Panel page, click Device Management to enter device management interface.

Step 4: Click Import Device to import this file. Then right click Monitor Area under device list, click Refresh Tree on the right click menu to refresh the device tree.

How to add the devices in SVMSPro via Hikvision and Dahua private protocol in WAN, LAN, VPN and 4G/5G network?

1) Adding Hikvision Video Devices By Ehome/ISUP Protocol

When access to Hikvison video devices (such as IP cameras, NVRs) by using Hikvision’s Ehome/ISUP protocol, front-end Hikvision video devices do not need to provide fixed IP address or map the ports.

Procedure

Step 1:Open Hikvision network camera web browser by inputting camera’s IP address on the WEB browser. Login by its account and password. Go to Configuration > Network > Advance Settings > Platform Access.

Step 2: Select Ehome or ISUP protocol as the platform access mode. Then select Enable.

Step 3: Select a Ehome/ISUP protocol version, and input SVMS Pro platform WAN IP address. If managing cameras in LAN, please input SVMS Pro platform LAN IP address for server address. Input the port 7660. Then click Save on this Platform Access configuration page of Hikvision network camera.

Note: When select protocol version ISUP5.0, please input passwords: a12345678.

Step 4: Map the SVMS Pro Server network ports 7660 (UDP+TCP) and 54000-55000 (UDP+TCP).

Step 5: Login to the SVMS Pro Client. On the Control Panel page, click Device Management to enter device management interface.

Step 6: Click NAT Device, this registered Hikvision network camera will be listed.

Step 7: Select one area, then select the device. Click button Add To Management to add device.

2) Adding Dahua NAT Video Devices By Dahua Auto Registration Protocol

When access to Dahua NAT video devices (such as IP cameras, NVRs) by using Dahua auto registration protocol, front-end Dahua NAT video devices do not need to provide fixed IP address or map the ports.

Procedure

Step 1:Open Dahua network camera web browser by inputting camera’s IP address on the WEB browser. Login by its account and password. Then go to An image of setup icon > Network > Register.

Step 2: Enable Register, then input SVMS Pro platform WAN IP address for server address. If managing cameras in LAN, please input SVMS Pro platform LAN IP address for server address. Input port 9500 and camera’s custom ID for sub-device ID. Then click Apply to save the configuration.

Note: Sub-device ID should not be conflicted with other devices.

Step 3: Map the SVMS Pro Server network ports 9500 (TCP).

Step 4: Login to the SVMS Pro Client. On the Control Panel page, click Device Management to enter device management interface.

Step 5: Click NAT Device, this registered Dahua network camera will be listed.

Step 6: Select one area, then select the device. Click button Add To Management to add device. Please input correct camera login account and password for this device.
