When the old H.264 cameras and the new H.265 cameras need to be managed in one VMS platform, usually there are three ways to deal with this situation.
Way 1: Change front-end cameras’ parameters from H.265 to H.264. If in this way, H.265 camera will lose its benefits.
Way 2: Add transcoding server to transfer different encoding format into uniform coding format. In this way, it will increase the cost for the whole project. And it will increase the bit streams and bandwidth.
